I am a postgraduate degree student at University of Leicester majoring in Financial Risk Management and on the course to get a Postgraduate Distinction. I also have a Bachelors degree in Mathematics and Actuarial Science, which gave me exemption from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) on the module CT8 Financial Economics. As part of the completion of my master’s degree, I did a dissertation entitled “Valuation Engine of Defined Benefit Scheme Using Projected Unit and Entry Age Methods”
For the past 4 years, I have been exposed to all sorts of complex actuarial mathematical and statistical calculations, financial modeling, and investment management. I also have the knowledge of financial derivatives, Value-at-Risk modelling, stress testing and risk management. I have the experience in using numerous IT and programming languages such as C#, C++, Matlab, VBA, Excel, and Eviews.
In my working experience at KPMG, I had the opportunity to be engaged in a few projects that required financial operation and optimal strategies. I utilized the appropriate change management in order to arrive at recommended solutions. I also have a working experience at Pole Arnold Financial Management where I had the opportunity to work with financial data of pension and investment management.
